Program-Specific Follow-Up

Ongoing success depends on continued practice, household consistency, the dog, the environment, and the owner’s follow-through.

How long does the whole process take?
Timing depends on the program recommended for your dog. Private programs progress according to the training plan and the client’s scheduling availability, while Board & Train is a four-week residential program. Monarch will explain the expected timeline before enrollment.
Peter will tell you clearly if the evaluation suggests a different path is more appropriate — whether that’s a different program, a behavior consultant, or a veterinary specialist. The evaluation fee still applies, and you’ll leave with honest, actionable information.
Progress updates are a standard part of the Monarch process. You won’t wonder how your dog is doing between sessions. Communication varies by program. Board & Train clients receive two structured progress updates each week, with additional communication when a material health, safety, behavior, scheduling, or program concern occurs. Private-program communication takes place through scheduled lessons and program-specific support.
Training must be maintained after the program. Changes in household consistency, practice, environment, health, or owner handling can affect reliability over time. Monarch addresses maintenance during the handoff process and provides program-specific follow-up options
